Antique Cello Coffin.
Circa 1900 a.d. Wooden Cello Case. But I call it a Cello Coffin. You know, for dead cellos.
When I bought this over 20 years ago, I was told it was made in the U.K.
There's a sticker on it, indicating it's been to Japan.
Stands 52" tall. Lined with cloth inside, with little cubbies for cello side dishes, what ever those might be. All of the latches are in tact and are fully functioning.
(The photos were taken outside, but I do not keep it outside. It lives indoors. My photographer friend thought the light was better outdoors.)
You know what would be really cool? Hang it on a wall and turn it into a shelf or a display shadow-box! I've attached a pic of what someone else had done with theirs, turning it into a shadow-box! I would have done this, but I didn't want to ruin it by removing the lid.
For local pickup only. I really don't want to ship this. I live in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, CA. That means you get to meet me! And that means you get to buy me a drink! So it's really a win-win situation for everyone.
